This DVD contains two stories with Aurora and Jasmine as well as a sneak peak at Disney's newest princess.
Aurora and Jasmine learn the lesson of perseverance. Princess Aurora Learns How to Manage the KingdomAurora is left alone at the palace while the rest of the royal family attends a convention. During these two days the young princess gets some valuable experience running the country and learns the lesson of patience and perseverance. Wanting to help Aurora, Merriweather loans her her magic wand when Aurora sends the three fairy godmothers (Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather) off on an errand. Aurora claims she does not need to use any magic and she can handle anything that comes her way, but things end up being a bit much for her. The magic wand is a welcome help, but not being used to the powers of the wand, Aurora soon discovers she is over her head in a major disaster. She accidentally conjures up hundreds of baby chicks. Then she creates green pigs, then dozens of cows. Instead of relying on the magic to get her out of this messy situation, Aurora decides to use her common sense and figure out how to solve the problem she created for herself. Princess Jasmine Learns PatienceThe second story focuses on Jasmine who also learns the lesson of not giving up. Jasmine wants to do more with her life and help the people so she persuades her father into giving her some responsibilities. She is sent to teach the children in school. But their unruliness is too much for her and she wants to quit. In the meantime, Sahara, the king’s favorite horse wanders off and Jasmine decides she must find him before her father discovers he is missing. Sahara has never let anyone ride him except Jasmine’s mother. It is a challenge, but Jasmine is determined to find the horse and ride him back to the palace. With both of these circumstances, Princess Jasmine learns the valuable lesson of perseverance. Bonus Features Include a Sneak Peak at Princess Tiana, Disney’s Newest PrincessThe bonus features are two interactive games and a music video. An additional disc includes a sneak peak at the newest Disney Princess who will be unveiled in her new movie later this year. The Princess and the Frog is a modern adaptation of the classic story and introduces Princess Tiana who lives in New Orleans during the Jazz Age. Tiana is Disney’s first black princess.
