Second season of Ben 10 has all of the action and humor of the first season, but it adds in few new aliens, a new villain, and new Tennyson heroes.

Man of Action offered a glimpse of what was to come in the second season of their hit show, and they definitely delivered. Ben, Gwen, and Max Tennyson's wild, alien-infested summer vacation continues to roll forward as the trio RVs throughout the country. Ben may have defeated Vilgax, but the ten-year-old can find plenty of other reasons to go hero and help save the world. But in this season, Ben isn't the only hero in the family.

Smooth Transition from Season 1 to Season 2

The second season of Ben 10 picks up immediately right where the first season finale left off and runs nonstop without a slow episode for the entire second season. Season two introduces a horrifying new villain and adds two new aliens to Ben's Omnitrix: Cannonball and Wildvine. However, the old villains are not forgotten. Kevin Levin (who makes an interesting transformation), Dr. Animo, the Forever Knights, Hex, and Vilgax all make their individual appearances throughout the season's thirteen episodes.

Focus of Season Two

This season is all about the Tennysons and how they strengthen and grow closer as a family. It starts with Grandpa Max's revelation about exactly what kind of Plumber he was, and Ben learning that he is following in his grandfather's footsteps in a way. He begins to smarten up his fighting style and fight with a strategy instead of brute strength alone.

Gwen does not want to be left out of the "family business," so she does her best to help in any situation she can. Whether she's donning her Lucky Girl persona, relying on her brains, or using her jujitsu skills, Gwen proves that she is a needed and worthy member of the alien-fighting team. She and Ben seem like they still don't get along, but as the episodes progress, it's obvious that the two of them are forming a bond as tight as the one they have with their grandfather.

DVD Extras Include Deleted Scenes and Audio Commentary

Man of Action included plenty of behind the scenes extras that any fan will enjoy, not just the super fans. One of the animators demonstrates how to draw Heatblast, and a producer details some inside information on a few of Ben's alien identities. Four of the episodes include deleted scenes, and a group of the creators provide audio commentary of behind-the-scenes information for the episode "Ghostfreaked Out." Super fans may be into the alien rolodex and drawing lesson, but the deleted scenes and audio commentary -- especially the audio commentary -- are entertaining enough for any Ben 10 fan.
